Selain itu, teh hijau juga rendah kalori sehingga cocok dikonsumsi sebagai pengganti minuman manis yang tinggi gula. Meskipun demikian, konsumsi teh hijau saja tidak cukup untuk menurunkan berat badan. Hasil yang optimal dapat diperoleh apabila diimbangi dengan pola makan bergizi, olahraga secara teratur, serta gaya hidup sehat.
